De Nederlandse vereniging voor hypnose (Nvvh) is een vereniging van medische specialisten, tandartsen, psychologen, psychotherapeuten, maatschappelijk werkers, sociaal psychiatrisch verpleegkundigen en fysiotherapeuten die werken in gezondheidszorginstellingen en gebruik maken van hypnotische technieken binnen hun professie.
De Nvvh stelt nadrukkelijk dat: 'If a person is not professionally qualified to treat something without hypnosis, then they are not qualified to treat something with hypnosis either' (cf J Kihlstrom, 2004).
